About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Implement, modify, test, and administer revenue cycle system applications
Develop, test, and maintain Epic Revenue Cycle modules, Claims Manager, billing systems, interfaces, and related processes
Serve as liaison between vendors, IT personnel, application analysts, management, and end users
Assess end-user needs and recommend system and procedural modifications
Develop standard, customized, ad hoc, and application report templates
Perform analytical tasks, documentation, testing, and final analysis to ensure system efficiency
Perform team and integrated testing for billing system functionality and interfaces
Identify system requirements and compare system design with user requirements
Maintain system parameter and reference tables, enhancement logs, and related records
Serve as first point of contact for end-user system performance issues
Research, document, and facilitate issue resolution
Review, research, test, and facilitate system updates and user maintenance
Assist with development and testing of third-party billing charge files and master files
Draft reference materials and assist with training documentation
Provide 24 x 7 support and participate in occasional early morning, evening, and on-call responsibilities
Adhere to and enforce Carle Foundation policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate's Degree in a related field, Computer Science, Finance, or Accounting
Epic Certification within 2 months
Work experience in revenue cycle
Comprehensive knowledge of billing system modules and revenue cycle functionality
Thorough understanding of project planning
General knowledge of CPT, ICD codes, HCPCS, and HIPAA Transaction Code Sets
Ability to support 24 x 7 environments and participate in occasional on-call responsibilities
Ability to perform unit, integrated, and team testing
Ability to develop reports and programming logic using third-party software
