  • Address patient moving and handling issues and use lift equipment to promote safety
  • Obtain adequate laboratory specimens and perform bedside laboratory testing and quality control
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team from admission through discharge
  • Assess and choose age-appropriate patient and family teaching strategies
  • Participate in data collection, analysis, problem solving, process improvement, and patient satisfaction initiatives
  • Ensure care aligns with standards, evidence-based practices, national patient safety goals, core measures, and other quality initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • H.S. Diploma/GED
  • Work night shift: 3, 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
  • Work every other weekend
  • Work every other holiday
  • No on-call requirement
