About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess patients through interview, observation, and physical assessment
  • Develop individualized plans of care collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
  • Implement appropriate interventions and evaluate patient progress toward expected outcomes

  • Apply safe patient moving and handling practices and use lift equipment appropriately
  • Obtain adequate laboratory specimens and perform bedside laboratory testing and quality control
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team from admission through discharge
  • Assess and select age-appropriate patient and family teaching strategies
  • Participate in data collection, analysis, problem solving, process improvements, and patient satisfaction initiatives
  • Ensure care complies with standards, evidence-based practices, national patient safety goals, core measures, and other quality initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • H.S. Diploma/GED
  • Work every other weekend
  • Work every other/rotating holiday
  • Work night shift, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
