About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the Clinical Education team with orientation and onboarding, competency management, education, role development, collaborative partnerships, and research/evidence-based practice/quality improvement
- Collect and analyze educational-needs data, issues, trends, and supporting information
- Identify desired outcomes and establish plans, strategies, alternatives, and resources
- Coordinate education initiatives and activities and promote positive learning and practice environments
- Provide consultation and evaluate progress toward outcomes
- Plan and present in-service programs
- Develop, implement, and annually update the Learning System
- Train new staff on the Learning System and develop participation/completion reports for managers and directors
- Mentor and guide unit, department, and system educators
- Perform needs assessments, identify practice gaps, and design and deliver education sessions
- Evaluate learner responses and patient-care outcomes
- Facilitate training on new products, policies, and practices
- Support onboarding, transitions to practice, competency completion, and retention of new clinical hires
- Facilitate clinic-staff planning, development, and education for environment-of-care standards
- Collaborate with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies
- Maintain accurate care documentation and communicate patient-condition changes to providers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in Illinois through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to education
