Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate staffing and activities of Patient Service Support staff for branch facilities with multiple departments
Perform essential job functions of Patient Service Representative I, II and III
Identify daily staffing needs according to budget and target guidelines
Review future schedules and anticipate staffing adjustments
Manage and monitor schedules for changes
Identify recurring issues and present resolutions to appropriate parties or departments
Assist with maintaining budget parameters and provide input to management regarding budget needs
Recommend and initiate personnel actions, make work assignments, and review/edit direct reports' work
Ensure staff are adequately trained and competent in required tasks
Handle disciplinary action under the guidance of Human Resources and the Patient Care Manager
Perform payroll duties assigned by the Patient Care Manager
Resolve customer concerns, questions, and complaints and coordinate corrective action
Report situations and resolutions to the supervisor
Establish standards for reducing registration errors and initiate training to reduce errors
Perform yearly staff evaluations and improve performance, productivity, and professionalism
Assist staff with customer service issues and respond to Patient Relations concerns
Assist department leadership and employees in resolving work-related issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

H.S. Diploma/GED
Patient service representative work experience
Ability to perform essential job functions of Patient Service Representative I, II and III
Ability to coordinate staffing and activities of Patient Service Support staff across multiple departments
Ability to identify staffing needs and manage schedules
Ability to address recurring issues and coordinate resolutions
Ability to recommend and initiate personnel actions, including hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and promotions
Ability to make work assignments and review/edit direct reports' work
Ability to ensure staff are trained and competent in required tasks
Ability to resolve customer concerns, questions, and complaints
Ability to establish standards for reducing registration errors
Ability to perform yearly staff evaluations
Ability to assist with customer service and work-related employee issues
