About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee daily operations and staff managing the Carle Financial Assistance Program and uninsured discount programs
- Ensure high-quality, cost-effective department performance aligned with organizational goals
- Manage department flow, staffing, productivity, and quality against established standards
- Prepare and analyze management summary reports and communicate findings
- Assist with data collection for annual CBISA reporting
- Create staff schedules, review and approve time cards, and manage paid leave requests
- Recommend or initiate hiring, promotion, transfer, discharge, and disciplinary actions
- Conduct staff performance evaluations
- Ensure staff are trained and competent in required job tasks
- Participate in and ensure participation in continuing education or certification activities
- Handle quality assurance, compliance matters, and escalated account issues
- Conduct staff meetings and collaborate on departmental, enterprise-wide, and external initiatives
- Assist employees with work-related matters
- Perform Carle Experience activities, including staff rounding and monthly meeting reports
- Prepare and follow annual budgets with the manager and director
- Partner with Accounting and Systems to track, capture, and report financial assistance data
- Interpret and analyze financial data to monitor performance and establish departmental benchmarks
- Act as a resource and mentor
- Maintain department policies and procedures
- Maintain relationships with vendor partners and the Community Coalition group
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree in a related field (Required)
- Work experience in a related field
- Ability to maintain knowledge of all supervised job functions and systems
- Ability to analyze management summary reports and financial data
- Ability to manage staff schedules, time cards, paid leave requests, performance evaluations, and personnel actions
- Ability to ensure staff training, competency, quality assurance, and compliance
- Ability to create, update, and maintain department policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain vendor and community coalition relationships
- Must meet required rules, regulations, policies, and Code of Conduct
- Work authorization verified through E-Verify
