About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Determine engineering requirements through inspections, analytical tests, data analysis, control charts, root-cause analysis, and bid specifications
Resolve engineering problems by researching and adapting engineering techniques, recommending solutions, preparing technical drawings, evaluating components and suppliers, and resolving design integration issues
Develop specifications and safety standards and perform installations
Verify engineering applications through tests, inspections, models, simulations, experiments, and measurements
Coordinate project team activities, communicate essential information, obtain expert input, review issues and action items, and escalate impediments
Prepare cost-benefit analyses and track and report expenses
Prepare permit applications, plans, compliance reports, operational guidelines, testing procedures, engineering reports, calculations, and presentations
Maintain and improve quality through quality assurance testing, process evaluation, redesign, and implementation of changes
Operate analytical equipment by calibrating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and arranging repairs
Manage supplies and inventory, place orders, and verify receipts
Maintain engineering knowledge through educational opportunities, professional organizations, publications, and networks
Take ownership of new requests and identify opportunities to add value
