About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Mortgage Lending Division by producing routine reports, dashboards, and data extracts accurately and on time
Collaborate with team members to understand business metrics and reporting needs
Maintain scheduled reports and automate them as appropriate
Validate and analyze report data to ensure accuracy
Support operational and ad-hoc reports and data extracts
Document procedures and processes for assigned reports
Conduct manual data reviews to answer business questions, identify trends, or respond to audit issues
Develop business knowledge to better understand and serve business customers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Basic proficiency in Excel
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI and SSRS
Foundational knowledge of SQL or other query languages is a plus
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical, problem solving, collaboration, and technical skills
Curiosity and eagerness to learn new tools, systems, and business processes quickly
Familiarity with basic statistical concepts and data analysis techniques
Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
High school diploma/GED or equivalent job experience in business intelligence, report development, data analysis, data integration, or information management
Zero to two years of experience in a data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence role
Business Analyst experience and/or Residential Mortgage Industry experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred
Must follow company policies, investor guidelines, and applicable US state and federal laws and regulations
