About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage Account Executives and build broker relationships within an assigned sales area
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
- Hire, train, assign, direct, monitor, reward, and discipline employees
- Coach direct reports to achieve regional objectives and sales goals
- Mentor Account Executives in building and maintaining broker relationships
- Oversee communication of Carrington loan programs, rates, and policies to brokers
- Supervise loan submissions and maintain high service, quality, and timely results
- Complete regional sales forecasts and prepare production projections
- Report projections and findings to management
- Ensure CRM updates for sales activities, marketing efforts, and broker records
- Review and validate new broker applications
- Resolve sales and operational issues
- Partner with operations staff to expedite file flow
- Implement marketing strategies and policy and procedure changes
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal lending regulations
- Develop and facilitate training and presentations
- Assist senior sales leadership with budgeting and regional goals
- Represent Carrington at trade shows and industry meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated sales management skills
- Excellent knowledge of non-agency lending
- Excellent knowledge of the mortgage origination process
- Excellent knowledge of non-agency/Non-QM and specialty products lending
- Expert knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, conventional, and non-agency/Non-QM products, guidelines, and requirements
- Knowledge of state and federal lending regulations
- Understanding of credit, title, escrow, underwriting, loan processing, and closing functions
- Knowledge of underwriting guidelines and investor requirements in the mortgage industry
- Ability to learn Carrington’s loan origination system and policies
- Ability to follow CMS Mortgage Lending loan protocols
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
- Excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Customer service, leadership, and management skills
- Knowledge of Encompass or equivalent loan origination system, or ability to learn it
- Knowledge of CRM systems, or ability to learn them
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 3–5+ years’ experience in mortgage origination required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in government mortgage products required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in non-agency/Non-QM mortgage products required
- Previous experience building Account Executive teams in the mortgage industry required, preferably in a sales management role
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required
