About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform general accounting functions and analyses using GAAP procedures
Perform daily bank reconciliations and record bank activities in the general ledger
Prepare monthly journal entries and detailed balance sheet account reconciliations
Manage internal and external wire transfers
Review, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts during month-end close
Assist with quarterly and year-end audits
Maintain financial security by following internal controls and company policies
Interact with other departments to resolve issues
Record fair value adjustments, interest rate lock entries, and monthly hedging activity for the MLD Division
Reconcile lending-related revenue and expense accounts and warehouse line cash and liability accounts
Coordinate with Treasury and lending operations to validate funding, sales, and fees
Prepare quarterly reports
Reconcile title-related revenue, expense, cost, cash, and pass-through accounts for the Vylla Division
Validate title fees, pass-through activity, and received amounts

Requirements

What you’ll need

BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or equivalent practical experience
Three (3) to five (5) years of general accounting/finance experience required
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of Oracle ERP accounting software preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written
Ability to communicate effectively
Must work PST zone hours
Prefer candidates that live on the West Coast
Knowledge of US GAAP procedures
Ability to perform duties in accordance with applicable US state and federal laws and regulations
