About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate stripping and punch press equipment
- Perform product, strip, and deck inspections
- Identify, record, and notify leadership of quality defects
- Perform basic machine troubleshooting and maintenance
- Review assigned work and work orders to determine required materials
- Comply with production documentation and standard operating procedures
- Transfer stripped sheets to transfer carts
- Ensure component materials are adequately supplied, properly loaded, and correct for each work order
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area and meet 5S standards
- Understand quality levels and audit products accordingly
- Reject nonconforming products and place them in scrap containers
- Coordinate containment of defective products with team members
- Support production and safety standards to meet daily manufacturing targets
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Lead
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 1 to 2 years of work experience
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience
- High attention to detail and judgment based on written procedures and guidelines
- Ability to quickly identify production problems and quality problems
- Ability to work well with others and cooperate with team members and leadership team
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, by reading, speaking, and writing, is required
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk as assigned
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds
- Ability to twist, reach, squat, and bend
- Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects
- Full color vision
- Ability to work around moving parts, pallets, trucks, and machines
- Must be 18 years old
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship available
