About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, deploy, and operate Azure infrastructure using IaC with Bicep/Terraform
Build and maintain Azure Pipelines for automated provisioning of VMs, Key Vault, networking, and platform services
Enforce GitOps-based configuration baselines
Create and maintain Packer golden-image pipelines
Ensure security compliance, including CMKs, encryption, and approved baselines
Integrate IAM via AD/Entra ID, federation, and SSO tools such as Keycloak
Operate secure enterprise environments in alignment with DoD security standards
Use vulnerability management tools such as Nessus Security Center
Configure virtual machines and platform resources to send telemetry and logs to Azure Log Analytics
Perform enterprise-scale patching and update management using WSUS or equivalent solutions
Participate in change management and review boards
Tailor infrastructure parameter templates to customer workload and hardware requirements
Deploy Azure infrastructure through established CI/CD pipelines
Document customer configurations and operational details in Confluence
Coordinate with onsite and remote teams to validate configurations and ensure handoff readiness
Provide Tier 1 operational support, including automated baseline desktop and software installations
Develop automation solutions using Bicep and/or Terraform
Support secure container image movement and lifecycle management with Skopeo, Crane, and Podman
Architect, develop, automate, deploy, and manage AKS-based applications

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years leadership experience in relevant area of business OR equivalent experience
8+ years demonstrated performance in related technology
Security+ Certification
Active TS/SCI clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Experience working in a classified Azure Region or delivering software into an AirGapped network
Experience deploying Microsoft infrastructure using Terraform or Bicep
Technical certifications in Azure preferred
Experience working in regulated, compliance-driven, or government environments strongly preferred
Ability to work in a normal office environment
