About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with Microsoft Account Delivery Executive and/or Microsoft Project Manager as Microsoft advocate and sole or shared technical lead
  • Keep development, analysis, deployment, and solutions on schedule and aligned with current capabilities and future directions of Microsoft products
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions with ISD technical project leads and customer staff
  • Deliver technical presentations to customer staff
  • Serve as technical project lead
  • Analyze technical requirements and develop effective technical solutions
  • Lead architectural design efforts
  • Lead current-environment assessments
  • Monitor system health, including Azure Solution System Health, program application availability, capacity management, and Azure consumption rates
  • Manage operational system trouble tickets, including input, rerouting, fielding, and escalation
  • Troubleshoot and remediate issues while coordinating with System Owners, Product Team, and Migration Team
  • Escalate to the appropriate Microsoft team when additional privileges, permissions, or clearance are required
  • Complete regular maintenance on systems and applications, including patching, vulnerability remediation, and end-of-service/end-of-life replacements
  • Complete approved configuration updates and changes, escalating high-level architectural updates when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or industry equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated cloud/Azure experience
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps/Kubernetes
  • Experience in one or more of: cloud technologies, data, AI, security, complex networks, IAAS, PAAS, SASS, cross-platform integration, and large-scale complex systems and business applications design and implementation
  • Training in Microsoft and/or industry delivery frameworks, product features, and relevant certified training associated with Microsoft products
  • Expert-level systems administration background in Microsoft Azure hosted environments
  • Experience supporting C4 operational environments; SAP experience preferred
  • Experience managing customer relationships
  • Ability to self-manage maintenance of workloads and support all systems/applications/workloads within the enclave
  • Experience with Windows workstation/server platform support
  • Active Directory organization and management, including OU and GPO management
  • Systems management technologies such as MECM
  • Azure solutions management, including IaaS, PaaS, and virtual network components
  • AVD component support, including pools, workspace, and application management
  • Azure solutions deployment
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification upon start, with at least a Security+ certificate
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain SAP access
  • Willingness to travel 0–25% of the time
  • Azure Administrator certification desired
