About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Safely operate and/or maintain all equipment under the scope of the contract assignment
  • Independently perform scheduled and assigned tasks and work activities
  • Identify and determine solutions for equipment problems
  • Start, stop, monitor, and adjust equipment
  • Communicate and document equipment status and condition
  • Perform all levels of maintenance up to advanced maintenance activities
  • Perform and/or supervise major maintenance tasks and activities
  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, testing, and isolation
  • Support maintenance scheduling, materials planning, and resource planning
  • Transition into team leader assignments and secondary supervision of contract positions and/or vendors
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment through upkeep and housekeeping tasks
  • Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and safety observations
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox briefings, hazard reviews, and task risk assessments
  • Maximize equipment availability and reliability without compromising safety
  • Document daily work logs, operations and maintenance activities, parts usage, and inventory consumption
  • Provide input into the CMMS for maintenance history and document retention
  • Investigate and inspect equipment failures or abnormal conditions
  • Initiate root cause analysis for equipment failures or malfunctions
  • Perform immediate analysis and repair actions for equipment deviations
  • Support planning, forecasting, scheduling, procurement of materials, and external resources
  • Provide technical and administrative training to other team positions
  • Perform qualified Authorized Employee and assigned administrative or coordinator tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum educational requirement - High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5-7 years related industrial experience, formal certification, military exp. or equivalent
  • Meets physical requirements for position
  • Complete and maintain required safety training & “Authorized Employee” qualifications
  • Complete and maintain required technical training and qualifications
  • Possess Intermediate to Advanced computer skills
  • Understand and comply with Solar and/or Customer company policies and directives
  • Understand and comply with Solar and/or Customer HSE policies and directives
  • Work permit program understanding and compliance
  • Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position
  • Successful completion of a drug screen required for employment
