About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, manage, and execute category strategies
- Manage policies, agreements, source catalogs, and special procurement programs
- Identify opportunities for cost decreases, inventory reductions, and quality improvements
- Assess business proposals and risks
- Liaise between the organization and suppliers
- Communicate information clearly while considering production demands and supplier conditions
- Document supplier performance related to timeliness and production
- Maintain strong supplier relationships
- Conduct data analysis, market research, and purchasing budget examinations
- Participate in continuous improvement of sourcing processes
- Conduct strategic sourcing activities in a limited environment
- Assist senior sourcing professionals with strategic sourcing across multiple environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or equivalent experience desired
- Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques
- Ability to negotiate across the organization and with external vendors and clients
- Knowledge of supplier relationship management concepts and strategies
- Ability to address critical supplier issues and maintain supplier relationships
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, technologies, and processes
- Ability to analyze and improve organizational procurement processes
- Effective communication skills
- Successful completion of a drug screen
- Must be able to work without visa sponsorship
