About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own sourcing for connectors and semiconductors
- Develop, manage, and execute category strategy, including policies, agreements, source catalogs, and special procurement programs
- Identify opportunities for cost decreases, inventory reductions, and quality improvement
- Prepare sound business proposals and conduct risk assessments
- Liaise between the organization and suppliers to communicate information explicitly while considering production demands and supplier conditions
- Document supplier performance regarding timeliness and production
- Maintain strong supplier relationships
- Manage expectations across organizational verticals for an enterprise category
- Advise stakeholders on financial, performance, and operational data used in business analytics
- Direct implementation of business data collection processes and educate junior employees on new data sources
- Conduct and support strategic sourcing, procurement, negotiation, and purchasing activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or equivalent experience desired
- Experience applying Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) principles
- Supply network expertise
- Data analytics knowledge and extensive experience
- Effective communications knowledge and extensive experience
- Interpersonal relationships knowledge and working knowledge
- Negotiating knowledge and extensive experience
- Purchasing tasks and activities knowledge and working knowledge
- Strategic sourcing knowledge and working knowledge
- Ability to manage sourcing for connectors and semiconductors
- Prior experience in electrical and electronics preferred but not required
- Successful completion of a drug screen required for employment
