About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create new designs and resolve issues regarding manufacturing or building sequences.
Ensure design acceptance and manufacturing readiness.
Participate in adopting new technologies and processes, including automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software.
Plan and improve engineering procedures and operations to increase reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with marketing, purchasing, and manufacturing to provide design solutions meeting customer and dealer-network requirements.
Create, implement, and improve engineering designs, processes, techniques, tooling, and machinery.
Work onsite five days a week.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
Knowledge of analytical techniques and tools; ability to determine root causes and create alternative solutions.
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques.
Knowledge of relevant technology and application methods; ability to solve significant technical challenges.
Knowledge of design for manufacturability guidelines, methodologies, and use cases.
Knowledge of engineering processes, techniques, and methods in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques.
Solid design knowledge of excavators or components, including layout performance, configuration, matching, and calculation.
Background in excavator design categories such as EIC, Hydraulics, or E&E is preferred.
Project management, issue resolution, and project leadership experience is preferred.
Familiarity with national excavator standards and the China market.
3 years of engineering experience or more in excavator or other construction machine design is preferred.
