About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and execute New Technology software development activities for Construction Industries drivetrain applications
  • Define requirements, align architecture, implement, verify, and deliver software
  • Develop and integrate drivetrain control solutions for transmissions, torque converters, brake systems, actuators, sensors, and embedded software
  • Own validation planning and execution, including verification strategies, test plans, success criteria, instrumentation, and data review
  • Execute technology transformation projects modernizing controls, software workflows, and development practices
  • Apply systems engineering principles across drivetrain mechatronic solutions
  • Coordinate with global and cross-functional teams on design reviews, software releases, integration, simulation, and validation
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, software, simulation, and validation teams
  • Drive technical problem solving through data analysis, root-cause investigation, and corrective action development
  • Contribute to standard work, best practices, and continuous improvement for drivetrain mechatronics development and validation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum, preferably Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Ag Engineering
  • Demonstrated engineering experience in drivetrain design or validation, controls systems, embedded software, dynamic simulation, or related product development disciplines
  • Experience with New Technology Introduction (NTI) processes and delivery of software-enabled product capabilities
  • Strong mechanical and electronics aptitude
  • Strong background in validation planning and execution, including test strategy development, data analysis, and issue resolution
  • Test, data collection, and analysis capabilities using ATI Vision, CANape, or similar calibration, measurement, and analytics tools
  • Analytical thinking and root-cause analysis skills
  • Decision-making and critical-thinking skills
  • Effective technical communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of computer-aided controls systems development
  • Expert knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques, and tools
  • Troubleshooting skills for software, controls, and integration issues
  • Must be able to work onsite five days a week
  • Less than 10% travel may be required
  • Sponsorship is NOT available
  • Successful completion of a drug screen required as a condition of employment
