About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead teams in execution of New Product Introduction, New Source Introduction, and Continuous Product Improvement programs
  • Develop and maintain project plans, scope, timelines, resources, deliverables, and product requirements for the Heads, Blocks, and Housings team
  • Improve heads, blocks, and housing design to meet product quality, supply, offerings, manufacturability, and cost objectives
  • Coordinate resources across procurement, product development, value chain, manufacturing, and suppliers
  • Oversee project progress and costs; communicate status with stakeholders and functional areas
  • Identify challenges, roadblocks, and solutions; escalate issues and delays to leaders
  • Direct project teams, facilitate meetings, provide communications, document actions, and ensure accountability
  • Use project strategy and problem-solving methodology to organize plans, communications, and deliverables
  • Guide key technical decisions and support continuing development and innovation across global engineering organizations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience providing technical solutions and resolving technical challenges
  • Expert-level project management experience, including managing multiple high-risk, high-cost projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Extensive experience in team management and team building
  • Extensive experience in requirements analysis, documentation, tools, prototyping, use cases, and traceability
  • Extensive experience troubleshooting technical problems in a manufacturing or product management environment
  • Extensive experience in product design and development from concept through production
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Previous experience in engine system or component design or manufacturing
  • Engine or component testing and validation experience
  • Demonstrated project management experience and results
  • APQP, PPAP, PCN, and design releasing experience
  • Must work onsite five days a week
  • Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position
  • Successful completion of a drug screen is required for any offer of employment
