About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead global dealer- and customer-focused training strategy, delivery governance, and capability growth
- Scale high-quality operator training and strengthen dealer networks through certification and enablement
- Manage a worldwide team responsible for operator training coordination, dealer engagement, operator training certification execution, business development, and operational excellence
- Lead a global team of six training coordinators/instructors
- Identify growth opportunities across regions and dealer networks and develop regionalized expansion plans
- Build partnerships with dealers, internal business partners, and external customers
- Recruit, develop, train, and performance-manage the training team
- Foster collaboration across Demonstration & Learning Centers, dealer organizations, and cross-functional partners
- Oversee dealer certification programs and ongoing education initiatives
- Ensure dealers have tools, support, and structure to deliver high-quality operator training
- Own training delivery governance across regions and Demonstration & Learning Centers
- Establish, maintain, and audit quality standards for training execution, certification processes, and instructor development
- Partner with curriculum and content development teams on training materials
- Provide field-driven insights, market trends, and customer requirements for content development and continuous improvement
- Drive training revenue, dealer certifications, training volume, digital adoption, program quality, and new dealer/customer acquisition
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years relevant industry experience (training, product support, operating, testing), preferably in construction, quarry, or mining
- Experience with Caterpillar products and customer applications across industries
- Experience with Cat technology products
- Deep knowledge of the Cat dealer network and training programs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage travel logistics and expense reporting
- Proficiency in scheduling tools and billing systems
- Experience working in or with a DLC
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to challenges
- Heavy equipment operating experience
- Previous leadership experience a plus
- Previous experience with Caterpillar operator training programs a plus
- Up to 35% travel, with required ability to travel internationally
- Successful completion of a drug screen required as a condition of employment
