About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

  • Lead quality responsibilities for first-of-kind units and product design validation activities
  • Source suppliers manufacturing CAT Solutions for the Large Electric Power Solutions business
  • Collaborate with internal facility teams and global teams to deliver quality customer solutions
  • Travel up to 50% of the time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain or related degree
  • Extensive knowledge of decision-making processes and associated tools and techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies
  • Working knowledge of planning and organizing tasks and resources
  • Extensive knowledge of problem-solving approaches, tools, and techniques
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining QMS
  • Extensive knowledge of relationship management techniques
  • Working knowledge of strategic thinking and organizational competitiveness
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar Quality Standards and ISO Certification Standards
  • Power generation experience
  • Demonstrated experience setting up new processes and leading them through completion
  • Strong technical background and customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to lead across multiple cultures and time zones
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Successful completion of a drug screen required
