About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive the technical vision, execution, and quality of core software products
Balance hands-on coding and technical leadership with architecture collaboration
Partner with enterprise architects, product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams to design secure, scalable, high-performance distributed systems
Architect and maintain backend microservices for deploying, scaling, and monitoring machine learning models in production
Design batch and real-time analytical pipelines for enterprise data ingestion, feature engineering, and predictions
Establish CI/CD practices for ML infrastructure, including model versioning, registry, and drift tracking
Co-design cloud-native distributed backend systems using AWS managed services such as SageMaker, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and Step Functions
Build optimized Snowflake storage, data views, and analytical queries
Ensure data governance, access controls, and reproducible data validation across training and live execution layers
Write clean, efficient, and secure code for critical components and complex backend features
Set coding standards, conduct code reviews, and establish testing strategies
Mentor and coach junior and mid-level software engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of professional software development experience
Solid focus on building data-intensive applications or ML backend infrastructure
Hands-on expertise building architectures across the AWS ecosystem, including compute, storage, and serverless workflow orchestration
Deep proficiency in advanced SQL, Snowflake warehousing, data modeling, and performance tuning for massive, complex analytic datasets
Strong programming background, e.g. Python
Experience deploying scalable backend systems, REST/gRPC endpoints, and handling data pipelines
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management
Ability to build consensus across multi-disciplinary technical teams
