About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute development of Caterpillar’s advanced technology features, including grade control, safety, productivity, remote control, and autonomy
- Align with commercial teams to understand customer pain points and clarify requirements for key features
- Work across Caterpillar divisions to drive alignment, development, and delivery cadence for features
- Understand and prioritize customer pain points related to advanced technology on machines and job sites
- Align with commercial teams on customer value and use cases
- Execute multi-generational development plans addressing high-priority customer business problems
- Drive innovations and build on existing platforms
- Align enterprise teams on scalable solution sets meeting functionality, quality, and ease-of-use expectations
- Lead development programs and Annual Product Updates
- Deliver key features to market at a cadence that meets customer expectations and leads the industry
- Drive customer value and business results
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent knowledge through professional expertise
- Ability to understand and prioritize customer pain points related to advanced technology on machines and job sites
- Ability to work with commercial team members and customers to understand prioritized feature sets and detailed requirements
- Ability to develop product roadmaps based on customer priority, technical readiness, and business considerations
- Ability to align and drive NPI execution across the enterprise
- Deep product knowledge of Caterpillar’s construction machines and their jobsite use
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within project budgets
- Ability to develop products that solve customer business problems extending beyond single-machine solutions
- Ability to build customer and commercial team relationships
- Ability to communicate product roadmap value to process partners
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in delivering high-value projects
- Effective upward communication to resolve project roadblocks
- Ability to work onsite five days a week
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
- Must successfully complete a drug screen
