About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide architecture leadership across Cat Converge Suite, Cat Integration Service (CIS), and integrations with Caterpillar enterprise and Cat Digital applications
Own end-to-end architecture across Cat Converge Suite, CIS, and connected Caterpillar systems
Lead enterprise integration architecture involving APIs, events, data flows, cloud services, and integration patterns
Lead target-state architecture and roadmap development
Design for resiliency, security, scalability, observability, supportability, and operational readiness
Drive architecture decisions across product, engineering, integration, data, security, and operations teams
Govern architecture by challenging designs, evaluating trade-offs, establishing reusable patterns, and communicating recommendations to senior technical and business stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Demonstrated experience architecting large-scale ERP, commerce, dealer, or enterprise integration ecosystems
Experience designing solutions involving Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure-based architectures
Deep understanding of API, event-driven, asynchronous, and data integration architecture patterns
Experience establishing cloud architecture patterns and enterprise integration standards
Demonstrated ability to design for high availability, disaster recovery, security, observability, performance, and scalability
Experience leading architecture across multiple products, engineering teams, and organizational boundaries
Ability to facilitate architecture decisions where requirements, technical constraints, and stakeholder priorities conflict
Strong executive-level communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical considerations into business impact, risk, trade-offs, and recommendations
Knowledge of analytical thinking techniques and tools
Knowledge of application design and architecture principles and practices
Knowledge of data architecture processes, techniques, and factors
Knowledge of IT architecture
Knowledge of platform architecture technologies and methods
Knowledge of requirements analysis tools, methods, and techniques
Knowledge of target architecture and IT blueprint and roadmap development
Must successfully complete a drug screen
