About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide internal verification and validation (V&V) for Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies products
  • Collaborate with CTCT internal product/project teams and Caterpillar and Trimble product teams
  • Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications using agile methods
  • Acquire client requirements and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization
  • Write source code for new applications and generate or enhance code samples for existing applications
  • Use automated testing tools for testing and maintenance
  • Design, plan, and execute software product and system testing strategies and tactics
  • Ensure software quality and adherence to stated requirements
  • Support products for the earthmoving, paving, and mining industries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience creating test automation
  • Strong understanding of the software development process and eagerness to learn new technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an analytical approach
  • Knowledge of Civil Engineering or the Civil Construction industry (preferred)
  • A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in a technical field such as Software Testing, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Knowledge of software development tools and activities
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle
  • Knowledge of technical aspects of software products
  • Knowledge of software product testing
  • Knowledge of system and software testing
  • Ability to work full-time onsite five days a week at the Mossville, IL or Peoria, IL office
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Must be able to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
