About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify customer technical requirements, pain points, and use cases
Provide solutions tailored to customer business needs
Build relationships with technical stakeholders within customer organizations
Develop switchgear and control business with the Caterpillar dealer network
Create quotes with switchgear engineers and project management teams
Share customer feedback with internal product and engineering teams to support product development
Serve as the technical expert bridging technical expertise with sales to secure and deliver customized solutions for complex gas projects
Support electrical balance of plant, emphasizing switchgear and controls

Requirements

What you’ll need

Knowledge of the electric power industry
Detailed understanding of switchgear and controls
Prior direct technical support or direct sales experience
Understanding of Caterpillar products and/or electrical balance of plant
Strong communication and ability to understand and provide guidance on highly complex projects
Travel up to 35% is required
Visa sponsorship is not offered; applicants requiring employer-specific sponsorship are not eligible
Must work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office
Successful completion of a drug screen required for employment
