About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and contribute to multiple analytics and applied AI initiatives
Use statistical and machine learning methods to solve business challenges and support sales and services growth
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into insights, recommendations, models, and digital solutions
Coach and mentor data scientists in developing, validating, deploying, and responsibly applying analytical solutions
Research and apply emerging analytical and AI techniques
Communicate complex analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extensive knowledge of machine learning principles, technologies, and algorithms, including classification, regression, optimization, descriptive statistics, and inferential statistics
Knowledge of Python, SQL (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, etc.) or R and ability to develop and modify code
Ability to conduct exploratory data analysis, data mining, data cleaning, and write, debug, and implement multi-table or multi-database queries
Knowledge of statistical tools and processes for business decision-making
Knowledge of data management systems and query/database access tools
Knowledge of requirements analysis tools, methods, and techniques
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field is considered for top candidates
Analytics experience, or an equivalent combination of graduate education and relevant experience
Experience working with cross-functional teams and providing data-driven insights
Experience in applied AI, advanced statistical methods, forecasting, machine learning, or production environments
Strong Python, SQL, and data visualization experience
Cloud platform experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred
Experience leading analytics projects, mentoring others, and connecting data across business domains
This position requires the candidate to be in Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL
