About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maximize the value of the product and the work of the Development Team
Act as Product Owner for larger, more complex projects with high value to the organization
Create, maintain, and prioritize the Product Backlog according to business value throughout the project lifecycle
Create and manage the Product Roadmap and Backlog
Communicate Product Backlog priorities to the development team
Act as the key decision-maker regarding product features
Define and convey the product vision to the team
Work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization
Represent CAT Dealers and engage with dealers to gather product feedback
Manage the Gas Engine Rating Pro (GERP), Dynamic Gas Blending (DGB), Equipment Cost Estimator (ECE), and other digital products
Perform other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Four year Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science, information systems, marketing, communications, engineering or related field
2+ years’ experience as a product manager
4+ years of experience leading a team while simultaneously managing multiple projects
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques
Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs
Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques
Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
Knowledge of market research, segmentation, and channels
Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies, objectives, and tactics
Knowledge of software product business aspects and operation
Ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision
Ability to communicate appropriately to ensure a team’s success
Domain expertise in business applications, particularly Dealer services
Strong accountability, planning/organization, and teamwork
Highly developed interpersonal skills to deal with sensitive, emotional or potentially controversial situations
Required to work onsite five days a week

Successful completion of a drug screen required for employment
