About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical leadership to a team
- Coordinate design-related work packages and support the Platform Manager
- Review and approve product changes
- Prepare and facilitate design reviews
- Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure product quality
- Provide timely support in resolving production issues
- Analyze, evaluate, and structure complex technical and organizational matters
- Develop and implement robust solution strategies
- Lead, organize, and execute projects
- Improve processes to enhance product quality, reduce material costs, and increase overall efficiency
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders within CPI, AOS, and NPI
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed university degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable engineering discipline
- Several years of experience in the development of internal combustion engines, mechanical components, or mechanical systems
- Strong knowledge of CAD and PLM systems, engineering standards (e.g., ISO, DIN), materials, manufacturing processes, and joining technologies
- Experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and SAP R/3
- Excellent communication skills, strong analytical capabilities, entrepreneurial mindset, and a high level of customer orientation
- Strong process understanding, decision-making capability, and openness to innovative methods and concepts
- Self-motivated and structured working style with the ability to independently manage assigned tasks and technical projects through to successful completion
- Fluency in English (minimum level B2)
- Basic German language skills (minimum level A2)
