About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver Caterpillar’s Digital Salesforce projects from design, development and configuration through deployment
- Build a world-class platform aligned with department goals and CAT Digital Strategy
- Perform programming and development assignments, including complex systems work, without close supervision
- Identify and resolve complex application and technical problems
- Work independently on complex systems or infrastructure components used by applications or systems
- Drive application development and product support focused on valuable business features
- Maintain software quality standards by establishing good team practices and habits
- Identify and encourage areas for team growth and improvement
- Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing with careful planning and execution
- Manage completion of own assignments and coordinate work with others
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5+ years of professional experience as a Salesforce Developer
- Preferably more than one Salesforce Certification; Architect Certifications are an added advantage
- Solid experience working with clients across cloud transformation projects, focusing on at least 2 Salesforce major platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Communities)
- Experience with holistic SFDC solutions, customer 360-degree view, personalized services, B2C Commerce and marketing advantageous
- Experience with APEX, Visualforce pages, LWC, API programming, JavaScript, HTML, CSS or HTML5
- Experience integrating third-party applications into Salesforce using SOAP, REST API, integration/middleware and CI/CD automated jobs using Jenkins
- Good understanding of Salesforce configurations, profiles, flows and customizations
- Solid understanding of relational databases, data governance and management best practices
- Experience with common integration patterns between legacy systems and Salesforce
- Experience with Agile Methodology or SDLC practices
- Experience delivering component, product and/or enterprise architecture in public cloud and/or hybrid ecosystems
- Understanding of enterprise data integration and analytical platforms
- Manufacturing or automotive industry domain knowledge is advantageous
- Ability to adapt and learn new technologies and stay updated on trends
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills
- Excellent command of English and ability to communicate professionally
