About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work side by side with supply chain professionals at Caterpillar

  • Work a 40-hour-per-week Fall Supply Chain Co-Op assignment from January 2027 through May 2027
  • Work onsite five days a week at locations in Cary, Clayton, or Sanford, North Carolina

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be enrolled full time at North Carolina State University in one of the following degree programs at the time of application and throughout the program: Business Administration/Management with a focus/minor in Supply Chain, Statistics, Math or Logistics; Industrial Distribution; Industrial Engineering/Technology – Logistics; Operations Management; Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 2.8/4.0 cumulative GPA (no rounding)
  • Transfer students must have 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university
  • Must be within commutable distance to Cary, Clayton, or Sanford, North Carolina (no more than 50 miles)
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Previous co-op, internship, or experience in a manufacturing, supply chain, or operations industry is an advantage
  • Relevant coursework and/or projects
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exhibit critical thinking, analytical skills, and initiative
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Successful completion of a drug screen required as a condition of employment
