About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create the next generation of digital solutions enabling enterprise growth in prime sales and aftermarket parts and services
Develop product requirements, technical solutions, and engineering roadmaps
Maximize product value and define work for multiple scrum teams
Collaborate with Product Owners, System Engineering, Data and Analytics Architects, and Platform Architects
Own and progressively elaborate functional and non-functional Epics and Features
Create, maintain, and prioritize the Product Backlog according to business value
Communicate Product Backlog priorities to the team
Act as the key decision-maker regarding product features
Define product vision and convey it to the team
Own acceptance criteria for product features
Work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization
Make decisions on release dates and content
Represent and engage with customers
Communicate releases to stakeholders and customers
Perform other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 4 years of experience in Product Management in the software space
Knowledge of business analysis and the tasks, techniques, and tools required to identify business needs
Decision-making and critical-thinking skills
Effective communication skills
Knowledge and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product
Knowledge of software engineering methodologies and best practices
Experience with data analytics and commercializing APIs
Business-level Product Management experience with applications or data platforms
Cat domain knowledge
Candidate must be based in either Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL
Must successfully complete a drug screen
Must be legally able to work without visa sponsorship
