About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure Caterpillar and Perkins comply with EPA, EU, MLIT, and other regulatory requirements for engine systems assembly completed outside engine assembly facilities
- Monitor and direct dealers and OEMs to comply with Caterpillar/Perkins Assembly & Installation instructions
- Ensure contractual reporting of installed engine and aftertreatment configurations
- Oversee aftertreatment suppliers and “as-built” BOM records for emissions assemblies
- Manage engine selling-system controls for incomplete engine system sales
- Oversee dealer and OEM web-based compliance systems
- Establish customer/dealer contracts and agreements covering EPA and EU requirements
- Conduct dealer/OEM on-site compliance audits
- Collaborate with engine product teams to align product definitions with certified compositions
- Support engine installation data collection at Caterpillar machine assembly facilities
- Lead or participate in process solutions for new and changing products, processes, and regulations
- Serve as subject matter expert for certified engine assembly
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or engineering technology
- Extensive experience with data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes
- Extensive experience with accuracy and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of collaborative techniques
- Extensive experience with decision-making and critical thinking
- Experience with product support
- Strong customer service background
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 10%
