About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Mechanically troubleshoot and repair complex domestic and foreign machines and related equipment in assembly areas
  • Repair utilities, test cells, building and grounds, pumps, HVAC, boilers, and assembly maintenance equipment
  • Install, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, precision bearings, HVAC, and machine controllers
  • Operate and maintain boilers, pumps, P&H cranes and hoists, conveyors, torque tools, washers, ABB robots, paint booths, and test cells
  • Perform machine leveling and alignment, shaft alignment, gearing, welding, lubrication, pipefitting, and tube bending
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including compressors and valves
  • Support production demands through overtime as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 5 years of Industrial utilities and repair experience
  • Must have successfully completed an approved HVAC training program and possess practical experience in the HVAC field
  • Extensive experience in the mechanical and/or electrical repair of machine tools and related equipment is helpful
  • Ability to install, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, precision bearings, HVAC, and a variety of other controllers
  • Thorough understanding of leveling and alignment of machines, alignment of shafts, gearing, welding, lubrication principles, pipefitting, and tube bending
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including compressors and valves
  • Proven boiler operator experience
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical prints
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Basic welding and cutting skills
  • Ability to operate basic tools
  • Background with ABB robots is helpful
  • Ability to work overtime opportunities to support production demands
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, medium- to heavy-duty assembly, technical environment
  • Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 8+ hours
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and withstand frequent repetitive hand movements with a variety of tooling
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
