About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead hands-on technical delivery for US pharma and life sciences customers
  • Lead customer discovery and translate workflows into feasible scope, technical designs and measurable acceptance criteria
  • Build and integrate agentic systems with enterprise data and APIs
  • Own evaluation, failure handling, testing and deployment
  • Own technical delivery through production and customer acceptance
  • Partner with Value Engineering on scope, dependencies and progress
  • Guide engineers and review code and designs
  • Collaborate with UK colleagues
  • Turn delivery lessons into reusable approaches
  • Operate independently onsite at customer locations
  • Work directly with customers and establish local technical delivery in the US
  • Exclude R&D isolated from customers and product/platform development, which are handled by separate internal teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Personal ownership of production AI systems using Python, LLMs and agentic workflows
  • Sound software engineering skills and measurable business impact
  • Ability to lead onsite discovery, clarify requirements, resolve technical blockers and communicate risks with limited day-to-day supervision
  • Track record of leading a small engineering team or enterprise delivery workstream from discovery through production
  • Experience evaluating and operating reliable systems
  • Pharma, life sciences or regulated-enterprise delivery experience preferred
  • Based within practical reach of a named US pharma hub
  • Willing to work regularly at customer sites
  • Willing to work onsite and collaborate with UK engineers
  • Ability to complete a take-home challenge involving structured thinking and practical coding/problem-solving
  • Must answer whether visa sponsorship will be required to work in the United States
