About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and oversee employee and visitor access to and from restricted areas
- Verify credentials and ensure access protocols are followed
- Prevent prohibited or restricted items from entering or exiting the premises
- Conduct consistent surveillance of the assigned restricted area
- Provide high-quality customer service to employees and visitors
- Maintain vigilance and situational awareness
- Communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and non-verbal interactions
- Work autonomously during designated shifts
- Adapt to changing conditions in fast-paced and slower-paced environments
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Report to the Site Lead
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working in government or military facilities
- Familiarity with government security regulations and access control systems
- Additional certifications in security or related fields
- Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Valid state driver’s license in good standing
- Must be able to pass a background check and additional project/client background checks as required
- Completion of the Tailored Adaptive Personality Assessment System (TAPAS) is required
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking
- Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, adapt to changing priorities, and learn quickly
- Ability to work independently and on a multifunctional team
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to work onsite in a professional secure facility environment
- Physical ability to walk 3 to 5 miles per shift, stand continuously for up to 60 minutes, climb ladders, use stairs and ramps, lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and push or pull 50 to 75 lbs. using assistive devices
- Standard visual acuity and normal color vision required for electrical tasks
- May be required to work flexible schedules, outside normal business hours, and holidays
