About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and analyze business needs
  • Gather business and technical requirements through work sessions, interviews, and other techniques
  • Define project scope and objectives
  • Analyze and document complex business requirements and processes
  • Communicate requirements to development teams and business owners
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and lead client meetings
  • Participate in technical reviews and inspections to verify project intent
  • Create complex test-case scenarios
  • Conduct, monitor, oversee, and document business application testing
  • Provide expertise on process improvement, organizational redesign, change management, and performance measures
  • Facilitate progress meetings and provide updates to departments
  • Generate and deliver transition status updates to program management and clients
  • Perform quantitative analysis of data, costs, benefits, and processes
  • Research industry trends and process-improvement best practices
  • Partner with business process owners and management on strategic initiatives
  • Support agile software development and business transformation initiatives
  • Manage scope and budget considerations while maintaining quality and security
  • Contribute to strategic planning, execution, and oversight of complex IT projects
  • Report to the Program Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in IT business analysis, including Networking-related projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in documenting requirements
  • Experience working under Agile processes and tools, such as MS Project and JIRA
  • Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI access as required
  • Must be able to pass a background check, with possible additional checks during employment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High-level attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, adapt to changing priorities, and learn quickly
  • Ability to work independently and on a multifunctional team
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Consulting background with a consulting-focused company preferred
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred
  • Prior software project experience within DoS, National Security, or other federal agencies preferred
  • Familiarity with DoS IT systems, protocols, and security measures preferred
  • Experience in computer science, technology, or a related field preferred
