About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Write, review, refactor, and optimize Java (Spring Boot) back-end code
Write, review, refactor, and optimize Angular 21 front-end code
Use AI development tools such as Claude and Amazon Q Developer to generate boilerplate code and write unit tests
Execute application modernization tasks using AI-assisted development workflows
Validate AI-generated code against security standards, AWS cloud architecture, and PostgreSQL database protocols
Manually debug, review, and refine AI-generated outputs
Prevent integration issues and ensure high-quality software abstractions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver enterprise-grade solutions
Design, develop, and test AI systems supporting innovative development workflows
Report to the Program Manager
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
8+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally with enterprise-grade application development using the mentioned technology stack
At least 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
Minimum 5 years of hands-on Java/Spring Boot experience
Minimum 5 years of proven Angular experience, version 17 or higher
Minimum 5 years of practical PostgreSQL database experience
Experience with AWS cloud environments and related architecture
Demonstrated 2+ years of experience working in AI-assisted workflows and using related tools or systems
Experience designing and writing AI models with robust debugging and architectural skills
Active Top Secret Security Clearance required
Must be able to pass a background check and may require additional checks
Proficiency in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Acrobat
Ability to interpret technical requirements, identify gaps, and coordinate with specialized teams
Knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies preferred
Practical experience with CI/CD tools and processes preferred
Expertise supporting Agile development environments, such as Scrum, preferred
Ability to work on-site in a professional office environment
Ability to work flexible schedules, holidays, and outside normal business hours when required
Ability to travel for business or professional development purposes when required
