About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide full-stack design and development support using Java, Spring MVC/Security/Spring Boot, React, and PostgreSQL
Develop secure and scalable RESTful APIs
Create modern, responsive React UI components using TypeScript/JavaScript and reusable design patterns
Implement normalized PostgreSQL schemas and entity relationships for scalability and performance
Support data migration between legacy and modern systems while ensuring data integrity
Plan and execute application deployments through CI/CD pipelines using version control tools
Support all phases of the project lifecycle
Ensure compliance with enterprise security, Section 508 accessibility standards, and mandated practices
Participate in Agile methodologies, Scrum ceremonies, and team collaboration frameworks
Document deployment strategies, migration plans, and system architecture designs
Perform other duties as assigned
Report to the Program Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 8+ years of professional experience as a full-stack developer or in a similar role
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Proficiency in Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence
Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and automation processes
Strong UI design and development skills using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS
Advanced expertise in Java, Spring Framework/Security 6+, Spring Boot 3+, Hibernate 6+, SQL/PLSQL, PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, Maven, and Git/GitLab
Significant experience with database design and data migration techniques
Proficiency in AWS technologies including S3, EC2, ECS, Aurora, and CloudWatch
Experience with Keycloak, Kubernetes, Maven, Docker, and other modern development tools
Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
Active Top Secret Security Clearance required
Must be able to pass a background check
Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Acrobat
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
Analytical troubleshooting ability
Ability to interpret technical requirements, identify gaps, and coordinate with specialized teams
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Ability to work on-site in a professional office environment
Ability to work flexible or non-standard hours and travel when required
