About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead rapid development of enterprise-grade solutions in an AI-assisted development environment
Write, review, and refactor robust, scalable Java (Spring Boot) back-end code
Develop and maintain dynamic front-end applications using Angular 21
Use AI tools to generate boilerplate code, write unit tests, and accelerate application modernization
Ensure AI-generated code meets enterprise security standards, AWS cloud architecture requirements, and PostgreSQL database protocols
Conduct manual code reviews of AI-generated outputs
Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application components
Work with product managers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions on tight timelines
Report to the Program Manager
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
8+ years of experience in software engineering
4+ years of hands-on development in Java (Spring Boot)
4+ years of experience with Angular (version 17 or higher)
3+ years of expertise with PostgreSQL database systems
Active Top Secret Security Clearance is required
Must be able to pass a background check; additional checks may be required
Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Acrobat
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Ability to interpret technical requirements, identify gaps, and coordinate with specialized teams
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Familiarity with Atlassian tool suite (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) preferred
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies preferred
Ability to work on-site in a professional office environment
Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods
Ability to use a computer and office productivity tools with sufficient speed
Ability to sit for long periods while looking at a computer screen
