About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to development, enhancement, and support of enterprise-level systems
Provide design and development support using Java, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Boot
Build secure, responsive user interfaces using React, TypeScript/JavaScript, and reusable design patterns
Design and implement secure RESTful APIs for data access and integration
Develop normalized PostgreSQL schemas and entity relationships
Ensure clean, maintainable code and adherence to best practices
Design and implement modern UI components focused on responsive design, accessibility, and user experience
Adhere to Section 508 accessibility compliance and enterprise security practices
Perform database design, optimization, and migration efforts
Develop and maintain optimized SQL/PLSQL queries
Plan and execute application deployments using version control and CI/CD pipelines
Support operations and maintenance efforts to ensure application availability and reliability
Collaborate with stakeholders, designers, developers, and cross-functional teams
Document design, development, testing, and deployment phases of the software development lifecycle
Participate in Agile and Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
Utilize Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
Report to the Program Manager
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer
A total of 8+ years of IT experience is preferred
Strong UI development skills using React, JavaScript, and CSS
Proven experience with Java and the Spring Framework/Security (6+) and Spring Boot (3+)
Deep understanding of Hibernate (6+), RESTful APIs, SQL/PLSQL, and PostgreSQL
Extensive experience with Maven and Git/GitLab
Proficiency with data migration and database design for scalable enterprise systems
Experience with AWS services including S3, EC2, ECS, Aurora, and CloudWatch
Practical experience with Keycloak, Kubernetes, Maven, and Docker
Strong experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation pipelines
Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Acrobat
Excellent problem-solving, conceptual thinking, documentation, organizational, and time management skills
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
Active Top Secret Security Clearance required
Must be able to pass a background check
Ability to interpret technical requirements, identify gaps, and coordinate with specialized teams
Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility compliance and secure coding best practices preferred
Knowledge of advanced database technologies and query optimization preferred
Knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence preferred
Knowledge of CI/CD principles and implementation tools preferred
