About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with local and remote Linux and Windows systems administration
  • Provide front-end and back-end application support
  • Perform technical analysis and problem-solving
  • Install and configure enterprise software, hardware, and operating systems including Linux, RedHat, and Windows
  • Manage and maintain MySQL databases, Windows Servers, and Windows 10/11 workstations
  • Develop and implement scripts for system automation and optimization
  • Conduct routine maintenance, security patches, and system upgrades
  • Perform log reviews, system backups, and hardware diagnostics
  • Monitor servers, systems, and applications and address issues proactively
  • Investigate and repair outages, performance bottlenecks, and compatibility issues
  • Maintain security standards including access controls, firewalls, and backups
  • Ensure compliance with DoD 8140 Cyberspace Workforce Management regulations
  • Set up user accounts and workstations
  • Provide tiered troubleshooting and resolve technical and operational issues
  • Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with customers, management, and cross-functional teams
  • Report to the Program Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, and 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Additional years of experience may substitute for a degree
  • IAT Level II Certification (e.g., COMPTIA Security+)
  • Proficiency with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Windows 10/11 installation and configuration
  • 4 years experience with RedHat / Linux / VMware / Windows server installation, configuration, maintenance, and administration
  • Familiarity with MySQL Databases and Microsoft Active Directory is a plus
  • Experience in creating and managing technical documentation
  • Top-Secret Clearance is required
  • Must be able to pass a background check; additional background checks may be required
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and on a multifunctional team
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Advanced Linux administration experience is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with load balancers, routers, and switches is preferred
  • Experience developing policies for Broadcom Layer7 or other API-based application gateways is preferred
  • Familiarity with cross-domain solutions is preferred
  • Expertise securing and maintaining enterprise environments is preferred
  • Ability to work onsite in the main office
  • Ability to lift and move hardware equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work flexible or nonstandard hours when required
