About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Receive, verify, and process visitors and guests at the Visitor Control Center
- Issue retention, temporary, visitor, and guest credentials, decals, and badges
- Produce and issue Common Access Cards (CACs) in accordance with Government requirements
- Conduct fingerprinting in compliance with federal standards
- Capture and produce credential, passport, and ISOPREP photographs
- Conduct personnel and item inspections using X-Ray systems, walk-through metal detectors, and hand-held metal detectors
- Identify, escalate, and document prohibited items and security anomalies
- Operate and maintain Government-furnished X-Ray, metal detection, credentialing, and access control systems
- Collaborate with Government security offices to troubleshoot access issues and resolve badge, CAC, and ISOPREP discrepancies
- Escalate issues through proper Government channels
- Collect, maintain, and report visitor-control statistics and operational data
- Document actions, incidents, and access transactions in approved Government systems
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Report to the Site Lead
- Work onsite in a professional secure facility environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience in visitor control, access control, security operations, or credentialing preferred
- Experience in operating security screening equipment (X-Ray, metal detectors) preferred
- Ability to follow detailed Post Orders and Government security procedures without deviation
- Completion of the Tailored Adaptive Personality Assessment System (TAPAS) will be required
- Active Top Secret /SCI with Polygraph clearance is required
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license in good standing
- Must be able to pass a background check; additional background checks may be required
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Ability to work independently and on a multifunctional team
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods
- Ability to use a computer and office productivity tools with sufficient speed
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move items up to 40 lbs
