About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in planning, designing, and developing large-scale voice and data communications networks
  • Participate in installation and deployment of voice/data communication systems
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of communication network components
  • Support maintenance and repair of network infrastructure
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation, network configurations, and system procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to implement communication solutions
  • Apply engineering knowledge while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
  • Provide planning to direct building architects and planners in ensuring communications spaces and media pathways meet industry standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Report to the Program Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent practical experience may be considered
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in voice/data communications engineering is preferred but not required for candidates with certifications and strong technical aptitude
  • One mandatory certification: BICSI Installer 2 Copper or BICSI Installer 2 - Fiber
  • Top-Secret Clearance is required
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and on a multifunctional team
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Foundational understanding of voice and data communication technologies, protocols, and standards, including VoIP, TCP/IP, and SIP
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and resolve network issues efficiently
  • Familiarity with network and telecommunication tools and diagnostic utilities
