About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain, diagnose and correct commercial/industrial HVAC/R system problems
  • Replace defective parts and adjust system controls for better performance using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Provide service on heating, cooling and refrigeration systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical components of HVAC/R equipment
  • Perform startups and troubleshooting for commercial HVAC/R systems
  • Meet with customers, evaluate their needs and make recommendations
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Support the Energy/Engineering Team with maintenance capital replacement projects for building and equipment assets
  • Plan, create, track, purchase and close out projects
  • Process purchase orders, invoices and project payments
  • Manage asset and contract information
  • Build project trackers and participate in weekly/bi-weekly project status meetings
  • Assist with commissioning for building, HVAC and refrigeration projects
  • Maintain warranty tracking methods
  • Update plans for non-standard replacements and communicate vendor/model changes to maintenance teams and third-party vendors
  • Travel approximately 90%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience servicing commercial and industrial HVAC/R equipment; less experience considered based on schooling/other
  • Completion of H.S./GED
  • EPA Universal Certified
  • Valid Driver's License, with no suspensions in the last 3–5 years
  • Experience with HVAC/R controls: Novar, Emerson/CPC, Danfoss (preferred)
  • Experience with Parallel Rack Systems (preferred)
  • Completion of Trade/Vocational School (preferred)
  • Experience servicing commercial and industrial HVAC/R equipment, including refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, control, humidity and temperature control systems
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Solid coordinating, prioritizing and record keeping skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Corporate Office Environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
