About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary contact for a specified block of business and maintain overall client satisfaction
  • Perform required compliance testing and related activities
  • Reconcile assets and prepare Form 5500 and all schedules
  • Prepare employer contribution allocations and calculate required minimum distributions and Qualified Domestic Relations Orders
  • Resolve client issues involving compliance, tax reporting (Forms 5500 and 5330), audits, contract repricing, and IRS guidelines
  • Respond to plan sponsors professionally and promptly regarding issues and questions
  • Promote client retention and identify opportunities to build existing relationships through timely, high-quality service
  • Provide value-added solutions to increase operational efficiencies
  • Collaborate with internal partners to deliver timely and accurate information for inquiries and service issues
  • Resolve complex situations or requests
  • Attend client meetings and prepare meeting materials
  • Achieve department service goals
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least three years of professional, retirement plan administration, and compliance experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry and professional concepts, principles, practices, and procedures
  • Comprehensive knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, and professional standards
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Proficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient use of enterprise communication and travel solutions (Concur, Skype)
  • Experience performing work that requires initiative and leadership skills
  • Pursuing Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and/or Qualified 401(K) Administrator (QKA)
  • Ability to anticipate and elicit customer needs
  • Ability to self-learn and quickly develop business and technical knowledge
  • Motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Ability to travel as necessary
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Familiarity with FT William software used for Form 5500 and compliance preferred
