About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary contact for a specified block of business and be responsible for overall client satisfaction
- Perform required compliance testing and related activities
- Reconcile assets and prepare Form 5500 and all schedules
- Prepare employer contribution allocations and calculate required minimum distributions and Qualified Domestic Relations Orders
- Resolve client issues involving compliance, tax reporting (Forms 5500 and 5330), audits, contract repricing, and IRS guidelines
- Respond to plan sponsors professionally and promptly
- Promote client retention and identify opportunities to build existing relationships
- Provide value-added solutions to increase operational efficiencies
- Collaborate with internal partners to deliver timely and accurate information
- Resolve complex situations or requests
- Attend client meetings and prepare meeting materials
- Achieve department service goals
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- At least three years of professional, retirement plan administration, and compliance experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry and professional concepts, principles, practices, and procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, and professional standards
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Proficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and enterprise communication and travel solutions (Concur, Skype)
- Experience performing work that requires initiative and leadership skills
- Pursuing Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) or Qualified 401(K) Administrator (QKA)
- Ability to anticipate and elicit customer needs
- Ability to self-learn and develop business and technical knowledge quickly
- Motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to travel as necessary
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Familiarity with FT William software used for 5500 and compliance preferred
