About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete all aspects of accounting, tax and audit engagements for clients, including status updates to engagement managers and adherence to quality control standards
  • Demonstrate understanding of clients’ businesses, including analysis and planning of client engagements
  • Adhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks within requested timeframes; explain variances when needed
  • Achieve charge hour goals
  • Review associates’ accounting, tax, or auditing work and provide constructive review points
  • May supervise associates on engagements
  • Train and mentor associate staff
  • Assist managers or directors with the client billing process when involved
  • Identify and begin developing knowledge in a selected specialty practice
  • Leverage industry knowledge and business acumen to incorporate cross-sell opportunities into client engagements
  • Participate in practice development activities, including membership in qualified organizations capable of referring potential engagements
  • Execute administrative duties as assigned
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Must have completed at least one busy season
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
