About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead audit engagements in asset management for investment funds in private equity, infrastructure, private credit, venture capital, and real estate
Serve as the key client contact and trusted business advisor
Assist industry growth in the New England region and lead national and regional initiatives
Manage the practice, meet billing targets, implement AI and other technology, and improve realization
Participate in business development opportunities for CBIZ
Ensure quality control standards comply with US GAAP and other regulatory guidelines
Design, plan, and review attest procedures involving investment valuations, LPA waterfalls, PCAP analyses, and disclosures
Advise on technical matters as an asset management subject matter expert, including ASC 946 investment companies
Contribute to technical accounting research and articles and provide insights on new accounting standards and fund structures
Build out staff with a growth mindset

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree required
8 years of experience in public accounting or related field
6 years of supervisory experience
Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
Proficient use of applicable technology
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills
Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
