About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead SEC attest engagements by planning and executing 10-K audits and 10-Q reviews for public companies
- Identify and assess risks, define audit scope, and design audit programs
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls
- Perform PCAOB/AICPA-compliant procedures and analytics
- Research complex accounting and SEC matters
- Detect deficiencies or fraud
- Prepare audit reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or a related field
- Three (3) years of experience as an auditor or related
- Experience leading SEC attest engagements for U.S.-listed public companies in food & beverage, medical marijuana, semiconductors, and food manufacturing industries
- Experience managing full-cycle annual audits and quarterly reviews
- Experience overseeing multi-staff teams to conduct statutory audits and analysis based on client’s financial data
- Experience assessing/testing internal controls across inventory, revenue, expenses, and leases
- Experience applying US GAAP and analytics skills to resolve complex tax reporting issues
- CPA license in Illinois
